Natural Health Practitioners of Canada (NHPC) is a national, voluntary professional association registered in every Canadian province and territory.
We are committed to quality health and high standards of health care for Canadians.
We believe that Canadians need an integrated health care system where individual choice is a fundamental value.
We believe that a model health care system is comprised of modules that optimize cost effectiveness and medical effectiveness, and that respect the dignity of the client.
The system must demonstrate a strong interrelationship between the individual and mainstream medicine, and the individual and natural, complementary and alternative medicine (including professionally administered therapies and prevention/maintenance).
In all scenarios within the system, the individual has choice in treatment, access, and venue.
We support seamless health services and options for Canadians with appropriate fund resources – publicly, by insurers, or through incentives and tax credits.
