The NHPC Continued Competency Program works to ensure public safety by improving practitioner competency and accountability.

Effective May 1, 2008. All NHPC members must participate in the NHPC Continued Competency Program, as per the NHPC Code of Ethics, which states that members must maintain their competency in their field of practice(s), the ‘Continued Competency Bylaw’ passed with a unanimous vote at the September 21, 2007 NHPC AGM.

Although a continued competency submission may be awarded continued competency credits, NHPC will only provide modality recognition and member insurance coverage for completion of NHPC recognized programs. Check the Recognized Programs in the Schools and Modalities section of this website for a complete list of programs recognized by the NHPC.
