Prerequisite: Level 1: Thai Massage Foundations
Duration: 30 Hours

The primary focus of this course will be to teach you Thai massage acupressure points and stretches in the side-lying, prone and sitting positions. You will learn massage techniques that use your hands, knees, feet, and elbows and efficient transitions between each of these techniques. Each massage position begins with the feet and moves up toward the head.

Our courses emphasize hands-on training and practical experience. In addition to working with the instructor and other students, you can practice your new skills on Sirius Health client volunteers on the fourth training day.

This course will begin daily with Thai Yoga (Reusi Dat Ton). Course content will progress along four streams of study: Professional, Theoretical, Practical and Ethical. Course content will include the steps to becoming a Thai massage practitioner and introduce the five layers of the body. We will review how to create intake forms and SOAP notes and examine the implications of cultural appropriation regarding Thai massage.

By the end of the course, you will be able to perform a complete 120-minute Traditional Thai massage using all four positions. You will also know movements 1 to 30 of Reusi Dat Ton.
