Practice Management Advice
Our Practice Management staff are massage therapists with extensive professional experience. They provide leadership, support, and direction to members of all disciplines.
Some common topics that our Practice Management team can help you with include:
- general business practice
- workplace dilemmas
- interpersonal conflicts
- professional conduct
- ethics and obtaining informed consent
Client Benefit Claims Support
Our Industry Relations team has built strong relationships with health benefit insurance companies so you can spend your time managing your practice instead of managing client claims.
Massage therapy members with 2,200-hours of training are eligible for all health benefit insurer direct-billing systems in unregulated provinces and territories, including TELUS Health, Blue Cross, Sun Life, providerConnect™, and theclaimsXchange®.
We have also negotiated eligibility agreements with several insurers for our long-time members, who had different training available when starting their careers. Due to their extensive experience, we were able to advocate on their behalf for recognition.
We continue to advocate to health benefits insurance companies on behalf of all members, so please contact our Industry Relations team for assistance with:
- denied client claims
- direct billing setup
- business licensing questions
- anything else relating to the health benefits insurers
Government Advocacy
You are represented to all levels of government by our Government Relations Director.
We advocate on your behalf to ensure that municipal, provincial, and federal regulations benefit holistic health practitioners. This includes the process of massage therapy regulation in any unregulated provinces.
Discounted Products and Services
We offer group discounts from companies with valuable products and services, including:
- electronics
- mobile phones and plans
- fitness memberships
- health benefits and life insurance plans
- home, auto, and pet insurance
- educational resources
As a member, you also receive discounts on NHPC events, education, and advertising.
