Kelly Cabrera

Kelly Cabrera believes in self-improvement, leadership, and growth. Throughout her 15 years working as a registered massage therapist, clinic owner, and massage mentor, she has continuously advanced her massage and business skills.

Kelly earned a diploma in Massage Therapy with Honours from Lethbridge College in 2010, and she now practices a variety of modalities with multiple massage technique certifications. She assisted with the practicum program at the Lethbridge College from 2015 to 2016, an experience that sparked her interest in becoming an educator.

Kelly opened Breakthrough Massage Academy to provide unique, accessible, and engaging continuing education courses to therapists. What shapes Kelly is her drive to always learn more, develop her skills, and pass them on to the next generation of massage therapists so that they can have long and thriving careers.

Roxanne Derkson

After graduating as a massage therapist from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 1988, Roxanne Derkson discovered the incredible benefits of craniosacral therapy and visceral manipulation. She then trained in Feldenkrais Method® and became one of BC and Canada’s few Guild Certified Feldenkrais® Practitioners in 1996.

Roxanne is as passionate about manual and massage therapy as is she is about movement and self awareness. Since her initial training, she has learned, taught, and experienced as much as possible about manual therapy. She has lived, practised, and studied in both Canada and Australia. Both cultures and environments have shaped the practitioner she is today.

After living abroad from 1998 to 2006, Roxanne returned to Canada and founded ViVi Therapy Integrated Health. Sharing knowledge with clients and collaborating with her colleagues is what makes ViVi Therapy a special place to work and help clients live better lives.

More than any other therapeutic modality, her clinical assessments, massage treatment protocols, and clinic leadership is informed by functional movement principles and fundamentals learned through the Feldenkrais Method®.
